Musical media:
Sometimes, I ask myself, "What would your story be like with music from other famous series?", and a few people questioned it too. Well, I have made a list of what I found fitting for all the scenes that occurred so far. Hopefully, some videos will stay on YouTube forever. There are several things that you have to consider:- All the music is copyrighted by its respective owners!!
- If you want to get the best out of your reading experience, I advise you to read while listening to the designated song for the new scene, AND you may repeat any previous songs that fit your style.
- The songs that were used in the original series are used parallel to whatever happens in The Obsidian Tale. e.g.: battle music goes to battle scenes, train music goes to train scene.
- TIP! If you want to repeat songs especially for the YouTube videos, instead of the url "youtube.com", turn it into "youtuberepeat.om" and it will auto-replay for you. Most of the songs will already do it for you.
- The list will continue to grow as more episodes are produced, so come back for more!
Note: Due to a listing overload, I could only fit the music list in one page for volumes 1-4. Doing one page for all of 1-5 gives me errors. You will see volume 5's list on the second link below.
Volume 1-4 - MUSIC LIST posted from Tumblr.
Volume 5 - MUSIC LIST posted from Tumblr.
The first numbers to the left is just the number of bosses in order. For boss #1, we have Lionel. It shows Felix (1) which means only Felix is participating in the battle at level 1. When you see a boss named "Lionel 2", that means you fight the same boss but again. When you see a boss named "Scientist Mutants (2)" with the parenthesis, that means there are two of them that you have to defeat.
For boss #16, Bailey is shown as undefeatable. In some RPGs, certain boss battles are scripted so that it is impossible to win. For boss #18, we experience two parts. The first part is scripted and once you survive long enough, the second part occurs with the rest of the party joining in.

Arc list:
For some people, they like to organize the story plot by 'arcs', a collection of sub-plots that make up the main plot. Here is a potential list for The Obsidian Tale:- Village of Saradeli arc [episodes 1-3] - Infiltration of the peaceful village.
- Escape for Prosperity arc [episodes 4-8] - Finding a new place to call 'home'.
- Ouli Brye Mission arc [episodes 9-13] - The King is of a conspiracy.
- Separation arc [episodes 14-21] - Main group separates into two.
- Bafuulian Jailbreak arc [episodes 22-26] - An Attempt to Save Lydia.
- Home and Peace arc [episodes 27-32] - Safety in Grandine and Saradeli.
- Floating Island arc [episodes 33-39] - Infiltration in the floating island.
- The Great Divide arc [episodes 40-47] - Everyone separates apart.
- Paradox Personality arc [episodes 48-52] - A character gets controlled.
- Rhadessian War arc [episodes 53-57] - The last major war below Lament.
- Septa Magic arc [episodes 58-61] - Main group searches for seven towers.
- Obsidian Finale arc [episodes 62-65] - Final dungeon to save Rhadessia.
"How do I want to divide the story?":
For those who would prefer to divide the story themselves instead of the preset "Volume = 13 episodes" format, I was able to find spots of division. For example, instead of dividing the story with 5 volumes, maybe you'd want to divide the story into 3's. Let's do that!- Dividing the plot into 3 sections - a few RPGs have 3 battle themes and if you wanted to treat the story similar to those, then I have the perfect moments to divide them! The first third occurs within episodes 1-22 with the basic plot and the group dividing into 2. The second division occurs between episodes 23-47. For plot reasons, I can't mention why it has to be 47. The last third is between 48-65.
- How about dividing the story in half? The first half is from episodes 1-33. Episodes 34-66 consists of all 8 main characters joining the party, so that's where the cutoff is.
