~ Ouli Brye (top half) – Northwestern district – Capital’s exterior ~

            So far, the capital has become one of the biggest messes in Ouli Brye at the moment. Forrest agreed to help Floir, the captain of the Gammel army, which leaves Lydia defenseless to the government. Meanwhile, Leo clashes with Ace who both have undesiring feuds with each other. While Felix waits for Clyde to defeat King Nader and possibly end the king’s life, Felix and Rina take sight of Professor Talbot who just appeared at the docks behind the capital. [Music 7.1]
            Professor Talbot, with different aviators this time (one with a beige-like color that represented the desert), watched as the capital walls exploded from afar at his point of view.
            “Only one person can do that, and it is the person I have been interested in getting to know.” He fixed his glasses with a smirk, and the reflection was blocked by a white light that emitted from other battleships.
            Rina rushed out of the building and Felix tried to stop her. On the way, he could spot a bunch of speeding sailboats on the way as well.
            “What kind of technology is that?” Felix asked himself, never seeing such things while in his village.
            “Talbot!!!!!” Rina shouted.
            A few soldiers stood in front of the professor, but he ordered them to ignore the girl and aim for the boy instead. Rina easily made her way through the soldiers and all of the men began aiming for Felix.
            “Wh-What?! Me?” Felix took out his crescent blade. “One against how many?!” There were too many to count and there was no way Felix could do this alone. All he could do was stab the crescent blade onto the nearest dirt and use it as a shield against all of the soldiers who were directly in front of him.
            Rina threw a fireball at the professor but he retaliated with a swift of water emitting out of his own daggers.
            “How the hell?!” Rina recklessly threw more fireballs but nothing could succeed. She decided to use her knives and catalyze them with flame. [End music]
            At the same time, the soldiers continued to send bullets towards Felix’s crescent blade while running closer to him. Even in the earliest dark, he could still see a separate shadow getting larger below him. This caused him to look up and he had to jump away from what he was seeing. [Music 2.1]
            Lionel came jumping down from a cliff behind Felix!
            “Good to see you’re still fresh and alive, boy!”
            “I-It’s you!! Why are you all here?!”
            “Lieutenant Floir ordered me to take over the capital.” He turned to all of the soldiers and signaled them to enter the capital. “I’ll have them do the work though. I’ve got you instead.”
            Felix grabbed his crescent blade out of the dirt, knowing it was safe to roam free now.
            “Why do you keep picking on me? What did you do to my mom?!”
            “Oh I don’t know. Maybe I killed her?”
            Felix’s eyes widened but he started shaking instead. “What…?”
            “Or maybe I didn’t. You’ll have to figure that out on your own.”
            “Why don’t you just answer me?! What’s wrong with the Gammel army? I thought you’re all supposed to be good people who can protect the continent from danger?!”
            “We’re just here to stop your group in particular. You are causing a huge disturbance to Talbot’s research.”
            “I don’t understand. What makes his research so important? The fact that he took Lydia’s memory and heart away makes no difference to him at all?!”
            “He can always give it back once he’s done. That’s too late now, you know? It’s shattered all over the world.”
            “Tell me then: why are you all still after her?”
            Lionel shrugged. “I don’t know about all this scientific bullcrap as much as you don’t know. She’s going to continue with emitting Obsidian energy, whatever that means. Said something about preservation in a tube or whatever instead of killing her off like the rest of her kind.”
            “What did you say?” Felix’s stomach felt queasy after hearing such things. “The rest of her kind? You mean the Gammel army did all that?! I’ve heard people in the village years ago made rumors about how a lot of the Obsidian people died from a disease.”
            “Nope. I wasn’t a lieutenant back then, but I was told by the Gammel army themselves that the Obsidians didn’t die from a disease; they died by our hands. It was for a good reason – we did it for the rest of the world.”
            “How would killing a bunch of people save the world?!”
            “Boy, you ask a lot of questions and this will be the last question I will answer! That Lydia girl is an Obsidian as we all know! Obsidians catalyze the natural energy that the rest of the world was lacking, and they refused to let us borrow their energy to enhance fire energy! Long, long ago, a myth partook in a third factor: winged people. But that was several, several decades and centuries back that there are no longer any records of any of them being alive. They used to be another source of energy but now they’re gone! The only ones we have left are the Obsidians.”
            “What if all of that natural energy goes to waste? What will you do without Obsidians?”
            “That’s the interesting part. We can preserve it through Lydia.”
            “What happens if you take that energy away?!”
            Lionel laughed. “Hah! If we preserve her energy, we can transfer it to new life forms but most likely her body would tire out in the short run. But don’t worry, I already said she’s going to keep emitting energy. Enough talk, I’m tired of this chitter chatter.” Lionel released a scythe as tall as himself.
            Felix panicked. “What?!” [End music]
~~~
            “My dear Rina…”
            “Oh, so you’ve finally took the energy to remember my name?” Rina mocked him.
            “Why of course. Ever since I saw you in my laboratory, with those particular pieces that you possess…”
            Rina took a step back. “You mean the shards? Wait, I know exactly what you’re talking about. And what are you planning to do?!” [Music 3.3]
            “I want to know where you came from.”
            “I lived with Lydia for a long time in peace until the damn Gammel army came after us!”
            Professor Talbot began stretching his arms. “A long time, eh? Interesting. In that allotted time, I’ve researched plenty but have not gone to it yet.”
            “Why do I care?”
            “It may affect you. Parents have been abducted years ago for research, children have been persuaded over time to work for us such as Clyde, and now we’re using this research as a means to catalyze eternal energy into them.”
            “What the hell do you mean?!” Rina became frustrated with him.
            Professor Talbot shrugged. “I do this kind of research only for the thrill of creating new life. With Lydia’s Obsidian energy, I can catalyze it into people.”
            “What if you combine them together?”
            “Obsidian energy makes humans and animals alike become unstable to the point where they can follow orders from the Gammel army. Do not worry, only their minds become unstable – not their forms. For example, I’ve already used parts of the two shards that I newly obtained. It’s slooooowly withering away, just so you know.”
            “Lydia’s personality is at stake here?!” Rina threw a fireball at him in utter disgust. “How dare you!!!!”
            Professor Talbot raised the yellow shard in front of him. This caused Rina to stop or else she would accidentally shatter the yellow shard completely.
            “I assume this particular shard of the seven can be one of the most important to you.”
            Rina tried to remember which personality was in the yellow shard, but it did not come to her. Either way, she had to retrieve it somehow.
            “Do not fret, my dear Rina. I’ve only used it once. Right now, the professors in the new laboratory is sharing the red shard as we speak. I believe that is the most important.”
            Rina became nervous. “Damn it… damn it, damn it, DAMN IT!!!” Her anger went through the roof now. She couldn’t control herself as she continued throwing knives at him while trying to avoid attacking the yellow shard. “Why are you researching on the most important shard?! What the hell is wrong with you?" [End music]
            This continued for several minutes between Rina and Talbot, and Felix and Lionel…
            The capital was still in grave danger. Each dividing wall was breaking apart and most of the rooftops fell over. It was as if everyone inside might as well have been fighting with an outside atmosphere.
            Going up the steps from the basement, Forrest began to ask a few questions to Floir.
            “So… um, what will you have us do?” [Music 8.3]
            “We will do a few researches on Lydia without having to harm her. As for you, what would you like to do while being a part of the Gammel government?”
            “I-I get to choose??”
            “It is only a fair trade that you hand yourselves over. We might as well offer you something convenient for your timing.”
            Forrest blushed. “Coooool… I want go back to Kyrie and see all of my friends!” Floir made a short stutter and Forrest sighed. “But first… I’m okay with taking more time to get stronger.”
            “I can make that happen. You can have all the weapons you need to make yourself stronger. We will have soldiers train with you, and go easy on you to ensure you get the best training possible.”
            Forrest turned to Lydia who still looked uncomfortable, and then back to Floir. “Can you really do that?”
            “Why of course. I have that privilege as the captain of the Gammel army. Maybe you can even challenge my star pupil, Viola Santa Lucia.”
            Lydia made a loud gasp as she made a stop.
            “Lydia! What’s wrong?”
            Floir carefully examined Lydia’s expressions. “I see.”
            Forrest held onto Lydia’s arm. “I think we can make this work. If they’re not going to hurt you, everything would be fine right?”
            “I don’t know. I don’t know what to do anymore.” Lydia held onto her head with both hands. “I am stuck in confusion.”
            “We will help recover all of the shards for you,” Floir claimed.
            “I still don’t believe you!”
            “Please, Lydia! This will be good for the both of us!” Forrest tried to calm her down.
            Lydia was in tears, but she did nothing. She decided to follow along and hope for the best.
            After some time, Floir had both Forrest and Lydia forcefully follow along until they arrived at King Nader’s throne along with Clyde who only stood there with him. [End music]
            Clyde yawned. “Phew… What good timing. I see Lydia is here along with the boy that Felix was talking about. Heh.”
            From close by with all of the walls broken apart, Felix could see everyone who were initially within the capital along with Leo and Ace. Lionel stopped, waiting for Floir’s next order. Felix watched as every one of those relevant to the capital stood in one main group.
            Felix watched as Clyde only stood there, smiling. [Music 13.1]
            “When are you doing to do it?” Felix asked quietly as a rhetorical question, waiting for Clyde to attack back. He slowly took sight of the whole capital – already burnt down, destroyed, and obliterated. “I don’t understand… Why aren’t you doing anything…?”
            Rina and Talbot finally ended their quarrel once the capital showed complete destruction. Forrest began eying Rina with an evil look, indicating that it was all her fault for refusing to add firing ammo into Forrest’s bazooka weapon.
            Leo faced the ground in disappointment. Although his battle against Ace seemed like a tie, he felt like he was closer to losing. The only people relevant in Ouli Brye who were not at the scene were both Garnett and Moilin.
            “King Nader! Your majesty!” Ace called out to him, but King Nader did not even look at him. Ace turned away. “…Tch…”
            Clyde said to Felix from afar, “Sorry, Felix. I’m only doing what is right for the continent. In the end once this is all over, it is promised that the Village of Saradeli will finally get its glory. We will restore it with the energy we have.”
            “Energy?” Felix questioned.
            Rina answered for him: “The Obsidian energy. These bastards are using Lydia’s memory orb for their selfish use.”
            “Me??” Lydia asked without an expression.
            Rina watched as Lydia’s incomplete personality try to speak. Tears slowly came out of Rina’s eyes, knowing that ever since the beginning of her journey, she never saw Lydia as the same girl she had known for years.
            Felix turned to Rina, noticing her tears. His heart sank, seeing that one of the bravest teenagers seemed to have finally given up.
            “Rina…” Felix slowly said.
            Everyone was silent. The Gammel army felt they were doing the right thing, using Lydia’s energy to save a lot more lives in the world, but seeing Rina cry like this made them feel a little astonished.
            Rina knelt onto the ground. Her tears were silent, but she was utterly heartbroken especially now that all of the Gammel leaders arrived together in one group. There was no way Rina’s group could survive this one now. What was even worse… the soldiers were rampaging all over the northern city of Ouli Brye. [End music]
            Forrest noticed that Leo’s expression was filled with uncomfortable notions, but he knew what Leo was going to do next. In order to make this perfect, Forrest needed a little proper-timing.
            Forrest took a step back behind Lydia before Floir could notice. He grabbed the sides of his mouth with both hands as he started sticking his tongue out behind Floir. [Music 13.2]
            Floir turned around and her mood changed into annoyance.
            “Blehhh!!!~~” He still stuck his tongue out.
            Floir tried to knock him down with a kick, but Forrest activated the toy bazooka. It expanded immediately, clashing onto Floir’s chin. She fell to the ground and Forrest quickly grabbed Lydia’s arm to run away.
            “Rina!” Forrest called out for her.
            Rina shook her head. She quickly got up and she blasted the largest fireball towards the bazooka. The toy bazooka only absorbed the energy which seemed like a great idea, but Rina was about to faint.
            Felix ran towards her while Lionel tried to stop him.
            “Oh no you don’t, you little runt! Don’t make me chop your legs off!!”
            Forrest shot a few times in between Lionel and Felix with his BB gun. Great! This caused Lionel to stop a few times!
            Clyde began to panic. Ace only stood in awe, surprised that the Gammel army had already taken over.
            “Hey,” Leo alerted Ace. They both looked at each other and then they gave a signal of agreement.
            Talbot watched them continue the brawl, letting Felix catch up to Rina’s fall. During this time, Ace headed towards Clyde in order to distract him. Clyde barely cut Ace by the abdomen while King Nader was distracted.
            Leo finally reached the king. The sword in Leo’s hand… stabbed through the king’s body from the front. Everyone watched in surprise and silence. Felix’s eyes were still wide open, now from the sight of death right in front of him.
            “GRAGGHHH!!” King Nader yelled. Ace had to close his eyes.
            Forrest tried to softly pushed Lydia into one of the speeding sailboats but she fell forehead-first. Forrest made a little shriek. Leo released the sword and King Nader fell to the ground.
            “It’s true. I’m actually from the Gammel army… You idiots fell for it for a whole year, and I’ve kept quiet about it for that long.” He gave an exotic laughter. “Leonardo Van Roy, was it?”
            “Glad that you remember,” Leo said.
            “Of course. You were seen as the biggest threat to me, and look where it led me. Eh… heh… Long… live… the Gammel army!” King Nader called out as he was slowly fading away. His eyes could barely see the dark sky now. The stars seemed like they were slowly fading away from his vision.
            Leo pointed at Forrest, “Do it. You must!”
            Forrest grabbed his bazooka. “You mean I get to use it?! Cool!!”
            The moment Forrest began firing the whole docks, the Gammel army knew what was going to happen next. The cement began to shatter and debris flew all around them. Forrest felt terrible for doing such thing, but this was to help stop the leaders of the Gammel army.
            “Damn it! Clyde, abort this mission. We are retreating!” Floir ordered. The grounds below the capital began to fall apart as if the biggest earthquake was erupting the ground. The only place for them to run was the battleship and the only plank left that was standing was the straight wooden docks sticking out of one of the cements of the capital. [End music]
            “Clyde!!” Felix called out for him.
            Clyde reached the battleship, but he turned around. “This isn’t over, Felix. I expect you to get stronger the next time I see you. We have lots to discuss.”
            “I don’t understand! Why didn’t you stop King Nader any sooner?!”
            “Ergh…” Clyde looked troubled, but he ignored Felix and went into the battleship.
            With Lionel and Floir already in the battleship, Leo stood perfectly still in front of the fallen King Nader. Ace was lying next to Leo with panic.
            Ace shook his head in trauma. “The country… our country!! Ouli Brye!!”
            Leo threw his sword into the sea in anger. “Ace, promise me one thing,” He said while Forrest and Lydia’s sailboat was slowly parting ways. “You will glorify the city of Ouli Brye on your own.”
            “What? But I am no king.”
            “If you are not ready, do not force yourself. Be a prince. If not even that, be a leader.”
            “Why are you letting me lead?”
            Leo gave out his hand to Ace, “As a best friend, I understand you the most in my life. I know how charismatic you are and how you show your honor to something you love. Please do this for Ouli Brye.”
            “What about you?”
            Leo quickly let go of Ace’s hand, and it seemed like the last time Ace would see him again. [Music 13.3]
            “I’m going on the sailboat to chase after the Gammel army! They will pay for what they have done to Lydia, to my friends, and Ouli Brye itself!”
            Ace tried to follow him, but the sailboat parted too far away from the shore. Forrest almost fell over and Lydia was in tears like usual. Leo barely made it onto the sailboat and he had to avoid turning back now.
Steer Away! - Part 1
Steer Away! - Part 2
            Talbot was the last to enter the battleship.
            “Wait!” Rina shouted to him.
            Talbot turned around. “…I will do this once, and once only.” He tossed the yellow shard towards Rina and she grabbed it.
            “Why are you doing this?” She asked while sitting on the floor - bent over with her knees grinding against the wooden docks.
            “Consider it a job well done for your efforts. The next time, I won’t go as easy on you.”
            Rina watched him enter the battleship. She blushed. “Why…”
            Without haste, Felix asked Rina if he could take it and throw it to Lydia. Rina hastily gave it to Felix and he aimed it towards Forrest. “Sorry if you wanted to hold the shard a little longer, but Lydia has to take it back this instant.” He yelled out to Forrest, “Catch this!”
            Forrest stood up, almost falling off the sailboat, but he successfully caught it. The shard began shining above Lydia’s head, much like what happened with the previous two shards. The bright yellow light emitted from the whole sailboat which had even Felix cover his eyes. It seemed as if the more shards Lydia collected, a gust of wind around them severed harder.
            Lydia closed her eyes for a moment. From the distance, screams and gunshots could be heard and the ground was still whirring. Lydia slowly opened her eyes after a few seconds of recollection with the shard.
            Rina watched with weakened eyes now. Lydia looked over at Rina. “Rina…” Rina’s heart skipped a beat. “Rina Nora? I remember now.” She began speaking louder over their separated distances, “You are my best friend, the one I trust the most, the one I met seven years ago back in Taujiko! You are the one who brought me safely to the eastern continent of Rhadessia. I remember it all! And Felix, Forrest, and Leo… everyone, thank you all so much for helping me!” Her voice still trembled as if she lacked any sympathy and sincerity, but her friends could hear the truth and honesty within her speech.
            Rina’s eyes widened even if they were filled with exhaustion. “Lydia…?! Lydia, your memory is back!!”
            At that moment, the edge of the docks cracked apart from the shore. The rest of the wooden docks were falling apart, rushing closer to both Felix and Rina. The reason why the wooden docks were breaking so quickly must be because…
            “The ground below us is breaking into two!!” Felix shouted. He grabbed Rina and he pushed her into the closest sailboat. Felix jumped after her.
            The whole docks shattered and Felix could see it fall into the abyss. Water splashed down into the dark nothingness. On the other side, he could see Lydia, Forrest, and Leo sailing away from the abyss as quickly as possible.
            “Everyone! I know this sounds bad, but we have to part ways as quickly as possible or else we’ll get sucked into the abyss! We will meet again someday soon, and I hope you all stay alive until then!”
            Forrest called out to him while crying, “Thanks for the shard, Mister Felix! I want to see you again too. You’re like… an older brother to me!!”
            “Forrest…” Felix sighed. He tried to shake away the sadness that was erupting from his eyes. “I will see you again. I promise!”
            Leo waved to both Felix and Rina, indicating that he had to make haste away from the abyss. He began steering their ship while Felix steered his own sailboat. Well… It took a while for him to figure it out but in the end, he was able to pull through. He could hear Rina crying a little louder this time, but in happiness.
            “Lydia…! Lydia, you remember!” She said to herself.
            The two sailboats parted ways in the opposite direction. The abyss stopped at each end of the small sea that opened like a basin nearby Ouli Brye. Lydia, Forrest, and Leo were left with the northern part of the continent while Felix and Rina had to travel south… But where does this lead the two groups now…? [End music]
[Ending 1 music]
