Mahaj - Character Page

Mahaj
- "Are you sure this is the best route for our tribe? I'm fine with being caved in Taujiko, but if it's for my love, I will do anything for her."

Characteristics - Mahaj only appears in flashbacks within the entire series mostly because he had been killed recently before the scenes in episode 1. Because of his lack of appearance in the series, it is rather difficult to depict what kind of person he really is, but it is known that he is supportive of his wife, Ekaja. He does concern for her safety each time Ekaja agreed to take care of outsiders such as Lydia and Rina. Best of all, we also know that he is brave enough to stand up against Floir while telling his wife and the two girls to hide.

Appearance - Similar to Ekaja, Mahaj is also a Taujikan in the tribal village of Taujiko. Being born at the village, he is suggested to have the marks on his face for independence along with changing his hair color to a white shade to represent 'healing' that the Taujikans gained as an acquired skill. What sets him apart from Ekaja is his shirt which was found along the short journey between Taujiko and the Meadow. He preferred it as a more loose and natural material compared to the clothing back in Taujiko.

Story plot (contains spoilers) -
Mahaj only appears within flashbacks, notably as Ekaja's wife and supporter of outsiders. He journeys with Ekaja, Lydia, and Rina after being kicked out of the tribal village of Taujiko, hence, finding a new home at the isolated Meadow.

Seven years later, moments before scenes from the first episode, Mahaj was murdered by Floir who was described as unwilling to kill him (according to what Ekaja saw on Floir's expression).
