Jess
- "It's nice to meet you! No matter if you are older, younger, taller, or shorter, everyone is the same. They all have hearts worth cherishing."
Characteristics - Jess may barely be entering her teenage years, but she is already capable of lots of accomplishments! She is seen as one of the most understanding characters in the series and she is kind to those she loves and protects. When she sees an enemy (Felix for example before finding out he is not a bad person), she threatens him to keep away from her three friends: Forrest, Sydney, and Spencer. A notable act of kindness from her was clear when she gave food to her friends before herself even if they all live as orphans. Most of all, she is the mediator who helped keep her friends together and safe from whatever mystery happening seven years ago.
Appearance - Jess has two pigtails hanging from the bottom of her scalp. She has a full-on green attire that she put together throughout the years while living in Kyrie, and was hoping to find more scraps to help build a better outfit for both Sydney and Spencer. She barely finished with Forrest's outfit. She has a fake rapier weapon in order to keep others away from her group.

Story plot (contains spoilers) -
Jess starts out threatening Felix to stay away from Forrest and his friends. When she realizes that Felix is harmless, she begins to question where he came from and why he ended up in the alleyway with them. She also gives the leftover food to her friends without saving some for herself.
On the next day, Jess goes missing. Felix and Forrest set out to find her, and she ended up atop a tree at the central area of Kyrie. She was forced to forfeit a shiny shard that she found lying around.
During Felix and his friends' second visit to Kyrie, she kepts free them by distracting Floir with the giant, angry bear in the cavern between Kyrie and the Village of Saradeli.
She is also seen in Forrest's flashback at the Silver Forest, giving each of her friends a colored cape and a designated fortune for them.
Jess returns, but in the Bafuulian jail cell. Her main focus was to speak with Bailey, who seemed shy. Jess helped bring the idea of Forrest being a persistent good guy which made Bailey think twice about his/her opinions of Forrest.
Jess gives Forrest the talk about him trying to save Bailey from the Gammel government. Forrest realizes that Bailey is the person in his fortune, and she only chuckles and agrees with him.
At the Village of Saradeli, she finds Bailey sneaking into the village. At first, they clash swords, but Jess managed to calm Bailey's anger. The two children bonded together by a small river, debating over Bailey's health from the chemical Obsidian energy. Meanwhile, Forrest accidentally finds them converses, causing Bailey to leave. With Forrest angry towards Jess, Jess becomes confused at how to deal with the problem. This is the first instance where she shows some sort of flaw in her wide understanding of humans and the world.
Jess tries to calm Forrest down after he finds out the group decided to leave him behind for his safety.
During the events of the Magnus tower above Mago'Ria Fey, Jess confronts Bailey and admits she trusts Bailey. After being literally stabbed by Bailey, Jess continues to put faith in her as all negative actions were brought upon Magnus himself. As Forrest sits down to mourn over Jess' wound, she reveals to him the true meaning of the yellow cape. This also reveals what Jess' red cape could mean.
In the end, Jess was not able to survive the wound and sends her goodbye speech to Forrest and Bailey.
