Characteristics - Sydney is the ecstatic girl in her group of friends who enjoys picking on Spencer the most. She is distinctive from the group because she is more of a visual learner who also learns from manually putting in the effort. For example, she would run around like an airplane to understand the windworks of airplane functioning. She also likes correcting her friends (notably Forrest) for saying childish things. Sydney might also have a crush on someone that isn't clear until later.

Appearance - Sydney has two hair buns tied on each end of her scalp. She, along with Spencer, start out with old clothes that look like potato sacks. Nothing much is said about her outfit for now.

Story plot (contains spoilers) -
Sydney is first shown in the alleyway with Spencer and Forrest. She is there for comfort and keeping Forrest from saying and doing reckless things.

Later in Forrest's flashback at the Silver Forest, Jess hands Sydney a green cape with a designated fortune: "Green represents nature and its peacefulness. You must erase yourself of all stress and bring in a new world of acceptance."

After several episodes, Sydney reappears in the Bafuulian jail cell with Spencer and Jess. She becomes more concerned with Forrest's safety, subtly revealing that she might have a thing for him.

Sydney becomes the childish jokester in the Grandine Hillage arc. She still picks on Spencer, but at this point, Sydney begins to show a little crush towards Forrest.

In the end, Sydney survives throughout the series and continues to support the growth of the Village of Saradeli, also assumed to join a newly created school within the village.
